Anthropologie Inspired Fall Fashion: A Guest Post + Giveaway

September 11, 2013

Ok, moms. All this talk about FALL FASHION is making me feel sort of self-conscious about my yoga pant habit. In need of some inspiration I asked my sister – who happens to be a buyer at Anthropologie – a.k.a. a fashion goddess, to write a special guest post on fall fashions that us moms could easily pull off. You know, in the 37 seconds we have to get ready each morning. Here we go girls… unleash your hidden cheetah. It’s time to turn some heads at t-ball practice:

Animal print is all over the runway, but some people can be intimidated by wearing the racy print. Animal prints can easily be viewed as “cheap or cheesy” if worn the wrong way. Check out the easy outfits I put together below that will have you in the SPOTTED section of Us Weekly:

Outfit 1: This easy sweater pullover has just the right amount of leopard print without being too overwhelming. I would pair this sweater with an easy pair of skinny ankle jeans (effortless chic) . To finish the look, add a pop shoe. I am dying over these red Dolce Vita shoes, they will dress up any outfit!

Outfit 2: The easiest way to include a hint of animal print is with accessories. I love the blank canvas of a black sheath dress. This dress is a great transition item and can be easily dressed up or down. Pair it with a sporty jean jacket and graphic scarf for a casual but put together look.

Outfit 3: My favorite look and probably the easiest of them all is this last one!  This look is for anyone who has suffered a bad hair day. First, I love these patterned pants! No one can deny that putting on these totally chic pants is as easy as putting on a pair of sweatpants. Throw on a chambray top and plop that mess of hair on top of your head with this perfectly cute leopard clip. Outfit complete!

This is not a sponsored post. I happen to love Anthropologie (and my sister) and all opinions above are our own.

To thank you all for being such great readers and supporters on my blogging endeavor, I am giving away a pair of Anthropologie Classic Leggings. Because leggings, my friends, are not yoga pants, but just as comfortable. And animal print and yoga pants don’t mix, but animal print and leggings definitely have potential.

I’m digging those damask-ish pants… but having a real hard time getting in on the denim shirts again. Too. Many. in. Middle. School.
