Sisters to Sons is super excited, in a giggly/happy dance kind of way, to announce a new series on the blog featuring women in business and momprenuers! As one of 5 girls I love the idea of women connecting women. Over the past 14 months that I have been blogging, I have had the privilege of connecting with thousands of parents. To say it has been rewarding is an understatement. I would love nothing more than to open up my platform for other women to share their successes and offer readers an opportunity to become involved in various business ventures. (Oh, and if you are a guy/dad and want to get in on this too, email me and I’m sure we can work something out!)
I am pretty sure we all know the realities of being an adult and parent in this day and age…. so I won’t list the reasons that moms need to work or want to work. I won’t list the reasons that families and individuals need additional income. I won’t list the differences between stay-at-home-moms versus working moms, but I will say that I’ve done both and when I was working, I wanted to be home and now that I am staying home I crave an outlet. If any of these thoughts or circumstances are present in your life, this series is for you. Whether you want additional cash to pay for a vacation, offset the cost of day care, start a new career for yourself or just want to be a part of something awesome – listen up! The first company in the spotlight is a jewelry and accessories company I’ve come to know and love – Stella & Dot!
Meet Susannah!
….a fellow Bucknell University Alum and Stella & Dot Star Stylist! Susannah is going to give you the inside scoop on why she decided to join this amazing team of women!…
And stay tuned until the end for an amazing Stella & Dot GIVEAWAY!
Interview with the Stylist:
Why did you decide to become a stylist?
I attended my first Stella & Dot trunk show several years ago, and thought the product was awesome! After hosting two trunk shows at my home, having awesome evenings with girlfriends and earning over $600 in free jewelry at each show, I decided to take the plunge and become a stylist myself. Little did I realize what an incredible business this is for just about any woman who wants a flexible, entrepreneurial business that is in charge of her goals. I gave it a lot of thought, did a lot of research, asked millions of questions of my stylist, who by that time had become my good friend, and realized I had an opportunity to have a part of an amazing business that was on the verge of global explosion while doing something extremely fun and allowing me to continually connect with new women and help them feel beautiful. It has been exactly that, and so much more! The positive energy of this company, from our CEO, Jessica Herrin, through the entire company, is nothing short of inspiring!!
How much income can a stylist expect to make?
So how does it work?
What else do you want readers to know?
I love that I can choose to support philanthropies with my business, and that is always my decision. I love that Stella & Dot, through their Autism Boutique last year, donated over $120,000 to the HollyRod Foundation to support families with autism. Also, if you’d like me to help you host a style session with your girlfriends and make a difference at the same time, in April I will be donating a percentage of my sales to support Autism….AND as the hostess you’ll earn hostess credits to get your bling for free and half off!!! Contact me for more info!
