Sister to Sons Spotlight: Stella & Dot

April 2, 2014

Sisters to Sons is super excited, in a giggly/happy dance kind of way, to announce a new series on the blog featuring women in business and momprenuers! As one of 5 girls I love the idea of women connecting women. Over the past 14 months that I have been blogging, I have had the privilege of connecting with thousands of parents. To say it has been rewarding is an understatement. I would love nothing more than to open up my platform for other women to share their successes and offer readers an opportunity to become involved in various business ventures. (Oh, and if you are a guy/dad and want to get in on this too, email me and I’m sure we can work something out!)

I am pretty sure we all know the realities of being an adult and parent in this day and age…. so I won’t list the reasons that moms need to work or want to work. I won’t list the reasons that families and individuals need additional income. I won’t list the differences between stay-at-home-moms versus working moms, but I will say that I’ve done both and when I was working, I wanted to be home and now that I am staying home I crave an outlet. If any of these thoughts or circumstances are present in your life, this series is for you. Whether you want additional cash to pay for a vacation, offset the cost of day care, start a new career for yourself or just want to be a part of something awesome – listen up! The first company in the spotlight is a jewelry and accessories company I’ve come to know and love – Stella & Dot!

Meet Susannah!

Stella & Dot stylist

….a fellow Bucknell University Alum and Stella & Dot Star Stylist! Susannah is going to   give you the inside scoop on why she decided to join this amazing team of women!…

And stay tuned until the end for an amazing  Stella & Dot GIVEAWAY!

Interview with the Stylist:

Why did you decide to become a stylist?

I attended my first Stella & Dot trunk show several years ago, and thought the product was awesome! After hosting two trunk shows at my home, having awesome evenings with girlfriends and earning over $600 in free jewelry at each show, I decided to take the plunge and become a stylist myself.   Little did I realize what an incredible business this is for just about any woman who wants a flexible, entrepreneurial business that is in charge of her goals. I gave it a lot of thought, did a lot of research, asked millions of questions of my stylist, who by that time had become my good friend, and realized I had an opportunity to have a part of an amazing business that was on the verge of global explosion while doing something extremely fun and allowing me to continually connect with new women and help them feel beautiful. It has been exactly that, and so much more! The positive energy of this company, from our CEO, Jessica Herrin, through the entire company, is nothing short of inspiring!!

How much income can a stylist expect to make?

As Jessica Herrin says, “effort in, results out….” so if you want to make $200, $2000, $20,000 per month, you set your goals and Stella & Dot will give you the tools to reach them. I love that I can offer this opportunity to other women, and they can work it however best suits their life, and they can make it be whatever they want it to be! If you are interested in signing up as a stylist, there is a sign-up special for the  month of April where you receive and additional $100 in product when you sign up.

Now Hiring!!

So how does it work?

As a stylist we each work from home, but we are all part of an incredible network of woman encouraging each other, sharing ideas, and creating a web of opportunity, friendship, support and success! When you become a Stella & Dot stylist, no matter how you want to work your business, you join an incredible team of women, and you have support, incentives and ideas not only from Stella & Dot corporate, which in itself is incredible, but also from me, and other leaders on our team! We help new stylists every step of the way by coaching and mentoring them to reach their individual goals.
If you are interested in sponsoring other stylists, you can sponsor women anywhere in the country, and also in Canada, England, Germany, France, and we just launched in Ireland! This is what I mean about global explosion!!! More and more countries to come!!

What else do you want readers to know?

I love that I can choose to support philanthropies with my business, and that is always my decision.
