HiLine Coffee Review + Giveaway

June 23, 2014

hiline coffeeBefore we get to the good stuff, I just want to get this out of the way: For the record, I was not compensated to write this review. I did receive samples of the coffee and will receive a small commission if you purchase coffee through the links on my site. This a great company with a product that I really enjoy and hope you do too! All opinions are my own. If you don’t have a Nespresso machine, don’t click out of this post just yet! Why? Because, really, you should get one!……Just sayin’….. or at the very least you should share this post with someone who does!

Ok, now back to the program:

It’s no secret that when you have kids you make some sacrifices…like sleeping past 6am, wearing white pants (or white-anytthing for that matter), and running out “real quick” for a good cup of coffee (unless you are entertaining the idea of lugging the children in with you, dropping unnecessary amounts of dollars on hydrogenated oil balls on a stick…a.k.a cake pops, only to lug the kids back into the car and have them fight over who gets which flavor, and by the time you get to your coffee, it is lukewarm.) Sound familiar? So yeah, gourmet coffee is sort of out of the question. But like all things in life these days, we don’t have to give up something we love just because it isn’t accessible. And that’s why I have a Nespresso machine – because its all about bringing the luxury into the home. While my kids are watching morning cartoons, I can whip up at latte in 90 seconds and it’s, well, sort of amazing. And life just got a little more amazing when I discovered HiLine Coffee – a small (read: 5 person team) that makes Nespresso compatible pods for about 15-30% less than Nespresso brand…Yes, it was a happy day in my household when I discovered this company.hiLine coffee

HiLine Coffee is based in NYC and invests little in endorsements and a lot in their product. After one cup, I was hooked.

HiLine Coffee offers a variety of intensities and flavors (just like Nespresso brand) and names the roasts after their favorite spots in New York – Wall Street is my favorite so far, and Chelsea being their signature blend.

Other great things to note:

– The coffee is sourced from family owned roasters in South and Central America, and Africa.

–  The capsules are manufactured in an FDA approved environment and are BPA free and phthalates free.

– The pods are 100% recyclable.

– HiLine is only sold online and shipping is flat rate $5.. unless you buy 15 packs and its FREE!

HiLine does not spend money on celebrity endorsements and tv commercials in order to keep their cost low and quality high. They rely on word of mouth advertising and the fact that their product speaks for itself.

….Oh, and I had my 93 year old grandmother over for dinner tonight and made her a cup of the Wall Street blend. She turned to me and said:

“This is the best coffee I’ve had in my life. And I have lived a very, very long life.”

…. I can’t make this stuff up!

I am thrilled to be able to give all of my readers 10% Off Sitewide, code: BEACH10
