While I am busy at home trying to acclimate myself to life with 4 kids, I am so excited to introduce you all to another mom in our Reader Style Series. When I think of “fun moms”, I think of Amanda. She’s a go-getter and an entrepreneur at heart, but when you meet her, you’ll see an easy going, laid back mom of three who is always up for a good time. Amanda runs her own business (make that 2 businesses) and always finds time in the day to fit in her sanity saving workouts – a must have with three energetic kids. She has effortlessly cool style and doesn’t feel the need to spend a fortune on her clothes. The outfit she wore to our photoshoot, looks like a million bucks, but you’ll be happy to know that everything she is wearing is actually quite affordable. And that is a talent in my book! It is my pleasure to introduce you all to Amanda…..
Jake – boy, 7

Job: Owner, Barton South Communications
Describe your style in less than 5 words: Casual Chic
Where would you wear the outfit you wore in the shoot?: I would wear this outfit to happy hour in Avalon, my most favoritist beach town!
What is the most worn item in your closet: Kinda boring but I am obsessed with my Lululemon Align pants. They are absurdly comfortable and look polished even if you’re not at the gym. At least that’s what I tell myself when I wear them all day every day.
All time favorite pair of jeans?: Obsessed with Blank jeans!! They are super comfy and can be dressed up or down. I wear them during the day with my sneakers and roll them up with heels for night. AND best part, they are totally affordable!
Who is your style icon? Kate Hudson. She defines effortless style to me! I love her Fabletics line too. They have great workout wear!
What beauty secret do you swear by? This is kinda odd, but I use the AMP roller from Rodan and Fields every night with my night serum which is retinol based. The roller feels a little strange at first. It has tiny needles that puncture your skin ever so slightly and allow the product to seep in more. Maybe it’s in my head, but I really do think it helps with the dreaded wrinkles!
What is one thing you wish you knew when you were younger? That time goes too fast! Sometimes it’s hard to live in the moment but when you realize how quickly life happens, it’s so important to enjoy every moment, every phase because they are all fun for different reasons. Obviously this applies to life with our kids but even during high school and college days, I wish I had realized those times were fleeting (although I certainly did enjoy them!). I need to remember this advice myself some days when I’m rushing around like a lunatic!
What is the best book you’ve read in the last year?
I really LOVED Andy Cohen Diaries. Pretty vapid choice but he is just the cutest and I love all his tales of the Bravo reality stars. Bravo is most definitely my guilt pleasure. If you want a more serious choice, I loved the Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.
What’s your secret for maintaining balance between kids, husband, work, friends etc…? Coffee in the morning and wine at night! Seriously!! We all have a lot of pressure to do it all, and I try my best to keep it all together, but sometimes you need those little pick me ups or wind me downs to get you through the day. And when I say sometimes, I mean pretty much daily!
Favorite way to stay in shape? I really love to workout. If I can get a workout in in the morning, it helps me feel energized throughout the day. I recently joined Orange Theory in Paoli and LOVE their method of getting your heart rate into the cardio fat burning zone. It is a killer workout, but it is tailored to you because everything is based on your own heart rate. They seriously kick my butt every time!
