Since moving into my third trimester I realized that I needed to start to look at maternity clothes to feel a bit more comfortable. Since this is my first pregnancy, I’ve been slowly navigating the maternity clothing scene and was recently introduced to an online retailer called PinkBlush. They offer some of the cutest dresses, tops, and pants for expectant moms, and they are also UBER comfortable.
For me, a maternity midi dress is a wardrobe staple because it’s an easy piece to take from work to weekend. If you think of it as a blank canvas, a basic midi dress can be styled countless ways. I found this dress on their site and it has been my go to piece that has stood up to my ever growing belly. The material is amazing: soft, stretchy, and cooling! It has been the perfect staple to add accessories, vests, or just wear on its own. I can’t wait to wear this in the spring with nothing but sandals. For colder weather, I’ve had fun playing around with adding layers and have two looks to share.
Look 1:
The first look is very casual. I added a military vest, a pendant necklace and my carryall back pack. One of my favorite tricks (for style AND warmth) is to wear a turtleneck underneath a dress. Oh, and a bandana wrapped around your wrist or tied to your bag is a fun way to add some color.
Look 2:
The second look is more layered with a long cardigan, blanket scarf and a structured tote. I also belted over the bump for a little more, uh, definition?
