Spring Workwear Outfit Inspiration

March 16, 2017

We’ve been getting a lot of requests for more workwear posts. With the change of the season (and with the help of my sister who nailed the workwear game back when she worked in insurance) we thought it would be the perfect time to share some spring workwear outfit inspiration. We created 5 polished looks (plus one bonus outfit) that are readily mix and matchable for a season’s worth of outfits. We tried to keep in mind that many businesses are adopting a more casual dress code, but that it’s also important to have go-to professional pieces for meetings with clients, interviews etc…  and for that, a basic sheath with great shoes and a necklace will never go out of style. All graphics are clickable 🙂

Monday // Meetings with Clients

Sophisticated and professional, this dress is a great blank canvas for accessories. Make it your own! Because it has a fitted silhouette, adding a draped jacket (like this one) will soften the structured look. This carryall tote is roomy enough to fit your laptop and other on-the-go essentials.

Tuesday // Breakfast Meeting

Nothing says, “rise and shine” like this cheerful gingham blazer. It’s eye catching without being overbearing and would look just as great on the weekend with  pair of white shorts (#shoppingmath). And can we talk about this ring for a second – I. Am. Obsessed. It adds the perfect touch of color (also comes in red) and to make decisions even harder, check out this one.

Wednesday // Presentation

Chic and polished with a touch of feminine flair. This top (super flattering) also comes in a pretty red color, but it had us at the asymmetrical pleats <3. Finish the look with a statement necklace – we kept it in the same color family as the top so as not to distract from YOU!

Thursday // Apres Work Happy Hour

This blouse translates easily from work to “after work” (and would look great with a pair of jeans and heels for date night). Patterned pants are huge this season, but I love the subtleness of this print for work. Oh, and these pants are proof that you can, in fact, wear black and navy together and it is actually uber chic.

Friday // Team Building

Comfy and playful (those shoes!!), yet still work appropriate. Play around with taking basic chinos and a button-down to the next level by layering on a colorful knit.

Bonus // (because is everyone going more casual or is it just me?!)

A workwear wardrobe would not be complete without a polished pair of denim. This particular pair is top rated and has the perfect dark wash for a professional setting. And this embroidered button-down was just too good not to include. Pull your hair back in a low pony and rock these button studs.
