Besides coffee and mascara and dinners where nobody actually spills something, what is a girl’s best friend? Flowy tops, right? Whether you are postpartum, newly pregnant, or uh, have an aversion to heat (??), or just love a boho chic, drapey cool vibe, the obvious answer is a great flowy top. My favorite brand to help achieve this “effortless flow” has always been Free People. Nordstrom carries the best of the best pieces from Free People including this tunic that I have actually had for years. It’s that good that they keep bringing it back. I have it in the white and black and I’ve worn it over shorts, as a beach cover up, with leggings and jeans – it is one of my most favorite pieces in my closet. It’s also a great layering piece in the winter months. It looks gorgeous when you layer a chunky knit over this more delicate looking piece.
Tunic | Jeans (size down!) | Birks (old but same style here and similar color here or here in different styles) | Necklace (hell0, $9 beauty!) | Bag
Depending on where I am wearing this, sometimes I layer a nude or white camisole underneath. In these photos, however, I just wore a nude bra. Free People is known for being a bit oversized so I would size down if in between, otherwise it runs pretty true. I am wearing an XS for reference. I’m pretty sure the model in the photo is wearing shorts underneath, but it’s questionable. In my opinion, it is a touch too short/sheer at the bottom to wear as a dress, but perfect for a beach cover up.
Oh, and before I forget to mention this – it’s Triple Point Days right now at Nordstrom. That means if you are a Nordstrom member or cardholder you get triple points on purchase made between May 3-7. If you don’t have the card yet, you should get it for early access at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale alone. Yes, I am already thinking about that sale now….

May 4, 2017 at 11:15 amI love this tunic, already have it in moss & lavender and just ordered the white. I’d love some suggestions/links on what to wear over it when the weather is cooler. I can’t seem to find the right knit to layer it with:/
