Let’s meet Lori who’s featuring the must have shirt of the season (hello, crinkle gingham), tied over a staple maxi to create a look that fits in with all parts of her busy day.
Tell us about your look: The look I went for was refined casual. In this case, it was the simple pairing of a tailored oxford shirt over a basic cotton dress with cone heeled sandals. As a working mother with two young boys, I enjoy comfortable clothing that translates well in both play and professional environments. Layers allow me to adjust my look according to how the day unfolds. A typical day can start at a client’s home delivering an extensive design presentation, then it could shift to my boys’ school as a classroom volunteer, and finally it may end at a hard-hat construction site managing project installs. A quick change of shoes [SK8 Vans] or the removal of the oxford shirt allow me to wear this look at any of these locations and still feel professional and stylish.

What is the best piece of parenting advice you’ve received? One of the best parenting tid-bits I’ve ever been told was a simple phrase – ‘If you want to play rough, you have to be tough’. I just love this. It empowers my two rowdy boys to own the outcomes of their choices.
Never leave the house without…… Clarins Eclat Minute in Rose Shimmer and Orbit peppermint gum.
What is the last gift you gave to someone special? The last item I gifted to someone was a gold MantraBand that reads Be True. Be You. Be Kind.
