I’m going to go ahead and call the ruffle wrap skirt the skirt of the summer. What’s the appeal? It’s pretty adorable (in our opinion) and it can be styled countless ways. The midi length is great for covering your legs, but also breezy enough to withstand the summer heat. This skirt is work appropriate and a great alternative to a dress (nursing women get why dress alternatives are so important!). And although we are deeming this the skirt of the summer, we can’t wait to style it for fall. It looks pretty amazing with a slouchy boatneck sweater, front tucked of course. Abby and I took this cutie for a test run and each styled it 2 ways, one more casual and one more dressed up. Here is the skirt we featured, butwe linked a bunch of other options for every budget at the bottom!
Look 1: Ruffle Wrap Skirt + Graphic Tee
This look is birthday party approved. Or maybe a casual BBQ with friends? Or strolling through a the farmer’s market on a Sunday post-fun-night-in-the-city-prior-to-getting-the-kids-from-the-grandparents? #agirlcandream
Look 2: Ruffle Wrap Skirt + Striped Tee
Casual and conservative and absolutely adorable. The ruffle wrap skirt paired with a striped tee can be worn anywhere from work to a fun take on your Sunday best. Swap out the heels with a flat sandal to make your look more relaxed.
Look 3: Ruffle Wrap Skirt + Cropped Tank
For all the showers on your calendar (or impromptu wine tastings on the vineyard?) we are loving this ruffled cropped tank paired with the higher waisted skirt (note: you can adjust the how high the skirt sits since it is a wrap, but we recommend securing right at the belly button). This look is also dance recital ready and perfectly appropriate for a daytime garden wedding.
Look 4: Ruffle Wrap Skirt + Off The Shoulder Top
Glam it up for a wedding or any other night on the town (art show, anyone?) with strappy sandals and a minimalist off the shoulder top. Keep accessories simple and let the skirt do the talking.
