Utility Pants, Your Denim Alternative

August 29, 2017

This one time Abby and I thought it would be funny if we both wore the same pants, but styled them our own way. Clearly it doesn’t take much to give us a thrill! Here’s our takes on the skinny utility pant – our go-to denim alternative (that happens to come in tons of colors and is 50% off!)….

Abby + The Utility Pant

Abby stuck with a neutral palette and incorporated a little shine which is one of the fall trends we mentioned in yesterday’s post. And because this time of year is all about transitional clothing, the lightweight knit cardigan the perfect for layering.

**A note about sizing: We recommend sizing down in these pants! We decided Abby needed to exchange these for a smaller size. She is normally a size 4 and wearing a 4, whereas I am normally a 0-2 and wearing the 0. If you are petite, we think these run more TTS. We are both wearing regular.**

Lindsey + The Utility Pant

Although these pants are perfectly “causal Friday” ready, I styled them for a more relaxed weekend look with my new favorite off the shoulder sweater and easy slip on sneaks. Long time readers know I am partial to my beloved denim, but if any pant makes me stray, it’s these.

Had to guess at my size since I am due in 2 months so went with a 6. I go from size 4 in old navy jeans to 6 in most brands and sometimes 8. But I have been looking for a pair of utility pants and these look so cute on you all! Love the styling which I can rep!icate with things in my closet!! Since I am trying to not shop so much I am considering this a birthday present to myself since my birthday is in 2 weeks and my mom in law always gifts me some money! Couldn’t beat the sales price! Thanks for sharing!
