Now that back-to-school has happened for most of the world, we can officially start focusing on fall…..and the wonderful layers that it brings into our wardrobe. Of course there are fall trends (which we will touch on a bit later), but the best place to start is with the staples. This year a long cardigan is at the top of our list. During this transitional time of year, a long cardigan serves as a lightweight jacket that you can throw over a camisole and jeans.
I fell in love with the warm, rust color and the braided detail of this one in particular. And the other selling point? This cardigan is butter soft. If I am layering something over bare arms, the itch factor needs to be nonexistent and this piece passes that test. I paired it with a pair of studded booties (ok, so a little trend never hurt anyone), and a canvas back pack (because why should the kids be the only ones!) and here’s an easy fall outfit you can wear all season long. And for those of you who live in an area where no layers are required (SoCal/TX/AZ girls I’m talking to you), this piece is travel friendly and airport ready.
