Countdown to Sweater Weather: Cozy Knits

September 26, 2017

We just got back from Disney World and all of you southern girls, I feel you. I now realize how it is hard to watch the rest of the world bundled up while you…….sweat. There really is no way around it. But now that I am back up north and it is practically freezing (72 = freezing for Floridans, no?), the countdown to sweater weather is officially on. When it comes to knits, the bigger the better. Basically what I am saying is that I like my sweaters to feel like a big, warm hug. An oversized cozy knit is a must in my fall wardrobe and this season I am lusting over this rust shade. As per with everything I wear, a little front tuck or even a belt can give an oversized piece a little more shape.

In terms of sweater trends, this fall, we are seeing a lot of volume, sleeve interest, and ruffles everywhere. We’ve rounded up our top 10 sweaters below….

And because we can’t get enough of this color that reminds us of warm apple cider (spiked, obviously) here are a few more rust inspired pieces we love….

Thank you to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.

I bought a vince sweater in a similar rust color at a boutique in Avalon at Thanksgiving last year. I was on the fence about the color when I bought it but wanted something other than navy, grey or black in my wardrobe. I wore it a ton and really think that it trends towards a neutral – kind of in the same way olive green does. I can’t wait to pull it out this fall (if fall ever comes to the Main Line)!

don’t miss a post
