If I had to describe my personal style in one word it would be (ohh the pressure!!)….comfortable? Sounds boring I know, but most of the time I have only a few moments to put together an outfit and I gravitate to what I know works well: distressed jeans, not so basic top, booties or sneaks.
Dropping the boys off at school = (attempted) preppy and pulled together.
Meeting a friend for coffee = feminine (a.k.a. something with a ruffle) and polished.
Grabbing dinner with my guy = dramatic top (something with sleeve or shoulder interest) and heels.
The common theme here is that I like to feel put together, maybe a little trendy, and definitely don’t mind a little girly flare. Must be living with 5 boys that has me yearning to show off my feminine side. But then again I also love my ripped jeans and burnout tees. Ahh I don’t know!! All the clothes – I love them all! I’ve learned to create a little equation for myself to help me put an outfit together. Here are two looks that represent my personal style. No matter the time of day this outfit equation has me covered…
Daytime Look // Trendy Sweater + Denim + Cool Sneak
Evening Look // Trendy Sweater + Denim + Classic Pump
Shopbop always has an assortment of styles to fit my personal style and their affiliation with Amazon Prime is, well, just as amazing as it sounds (free 2 day shipping and free returns). They always have the most trend worthy pieces and classic staples at a variety of price points. A few of my go-to brands that they carry – BB Dakota, Wayf, Blank NYC, Levi’s, Sam Edelman (and too many splurge worthy brands to name)…. Their newly redesigned website makes it easy to shop by designer, price, occasion etc… Oh and the new “fall checklist” is not to be missed! Basically what I am trying to say – no matter what your personal style reflects, they have something for everyone.
