Cozy Chic Holiday Style

November 16, 2017

In reality, I should probably just wear a track suit for the next 45 days. Because that’s what the holiday season feel likes for moms with young kids – a sprint! Running from holiday concerts to cookie exchanges to work parties to more work parties to shopping shopping shopping to tree lightings to white elephant parties to… ok so now that my head is spinning just thinking of the whirlwind of the next month and a half, I will leave it at that. For the majority of the holiday parties I will attend this year, the kids will be in tow, and therefore, these gatherings are pretty casual. But then again it’s the holidays so, no, I will not wear a track suit, but something that reflects a cozy chic holiday style. Translation: Comfortable but stylish. A cold shoulder sweater is the perfect top that allows for kid wrangling while simultaneously feeling like a brie eating, merlot sipping adult. Same goes for the over the knee boots. I opt for the flat ones (because I always have a baby on my hip).

Layers are also key when it comes to holiday dressing. The party may start inside, but it could end outside around a fire pit or a walk through the neighborhood for holiday light spectating. A draped cardigan is a seasonal must…..

And sometimes I like to surprise everyone (including myself) with a jacket that is NOT a puffer. Every girl needs a grown up jacket. How elegant is this one?

One of the reasons I love shopping at Shopbop (besides the free Prime 2 Day shipping) is because they have something for every budget. I’ve included a similar look at various price points in the boutique below. To make your shopping even easier, my favorite place to start is their Fashion Finds Under $200 and they made some amazing gift guides this year too.

Hi! I love your blog! My wardrobe has gotten a major upgrade since I started reading it! I’m wondering what size you are wearing in the Z Supply cold shoulder top? I’m assuming the XS, but it’s sold out so I’m hoping this is a size up item!
