If I’m not wearing jeans I’m wearing leggings and visa versa. I’m not really a dress girl (especially this time of year) which presents some challenges when I need to get a little dressed up. The faux leather legging trend, or any legging with a lux fabric (think velvet, suede etc..) can be a game changer because they are an extremely versatile wardrobe staple. But how do we wear them?! This question pops up in my inbox very frequently so I thought it warranted an entire post.
First let’s discuss the leggings themselves. I’ve written before about leggings and I am partial to high waisted leggings. I particularly love the Yummie brand because they accentuate all the right places while giving your mid-section a little “hug”. I also love that they are a body positive brand and want women to embrace their curves while helping give the confidence to do so. While I am not curvy, I have terrible veins in my legs (hence why I don’t like dresses). Wearing things with a slight compression feels amazing on my legs, especially post partum, and ever since I’ve had kids anything high waisted with compression is a win-win. And thank goodness for companies like Yummie who understand these problems and had the foresight to design fashionable ones. Because who wouldn’t want to run around in leggings all day?
