Snack Balls With Brandless

March 29, 2018

A few months ago I introduced you all to a company called Brandless where everything they sell is $3. This company was new to me too and since then I have become slightly addicted to ordering all of my life essentials from their website. And by life essentials I mean better-for-you pantry staples (the amount 4 little boys consume is unreal), office supplies, cleaning supplies, CANDY, and probably my favorite, “Always Ready to Host” supplies……

brandless bundles

You know – the important things in life. Brandless has a bundle for that which is why becoming a member was a no brainer. Brandless is offering Motherchic readers a special membership rate ($24 one time fee for free shipping always and other fun perks), although you don’t need to be a member to shop. And because snacks are always on the brain, no really, pre-dinner snack, post-dinner snack, dessert, and then post-dessert snack times FOUR – I am always searching for food that will keep my boys full longer. My sister, Liz, also a mom of 4, makes pretty much everything from scratch and introduced these snack balls  to me which our kids (ourselves included) love. Using some pantry staples from Brandless we were able to whip this wholesome “treat” up in under 5 minutes.

Snack Ball Recipe

3/4 cup almonds

1/4 cup dried apricots

1/4 cup organic maple syrup or honey (yes, at Brandless these are still just $3!!)

1/4 cup pepitas

1/4 cup sunflower seeds

1/4 cup almond milk

1/4 cup chocolate chips

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup coconut oil

1 cup coconut shreds

Put all in food processor and process until it starts to come together. Use your hands to make into balls. Place in freezer until you want to eat. Take out and let thaw for 8 minutes and enjoy!

Just in general. Wondering if they’re all tiny since the price is so reasonable. Thanks!
