One of my favorite times of year is the shifting of seasons. And I promise it has nothing to do with the fact that it means some updates/additions to my wardrobe in the form of Nordstrom’s new arrivals….(ok totally lying). In my defense there are other things I love about this seasonal switch in particular – 1) the cherry blossoms that line my street – seriously breathtaking! And 2) the fact that my kids can now play outside means my house is like 3% less destroyed at any given moment….. and I’ll take it!
But back to the clothes – when thinking about your wardrobe seasonally, I always start with some great neutrals and build from there. I’ve style two effortless weekend outfits that incorporate fresh spring neutrals that are staples in any closet.
**But first… I’m super excited to announce that my “influencer picks” are now live on the Nordstrom website in a few places – a girl’s night out look here, a casual weekend look here, and a beach ready look here ….and I’ll be sharing more soon so stay tuned!**
Jeans and a Tee…. Reworked.
When in doubt, jeans and a tee always works. With the addition of a statement piece (hello, gorgeous striped blazer) and fun accessories, you can easily elevate this simple look. I added hints of shine to this fresh neutral palette with gold accents and a pop of blush in the shoes.

Black, White…. and BAMBOO!
Spoiler alert – spring isn’t all pastels and roses! Black and white can look equally as fresh especially when worn in combination. Bamboo bags were popular last spring and are back in an even bigger way this year. The natural color of the bag ties together the look. And for those who love Leith dresses, this one is a must! The price point is perfect and the ruffle hem gets me every time.
