Derby Day Dresses: The White Eyelet Dress

April 23, 2018

It’s Monday…..and the first thing on your mind is Mint Juleps, right? With Derby Day right around the corner our inbox is full of requests of what to wear. The thing about Derby Day this year is that it falls on Cinco De Mayo. So not only am I featuring the cutest white eyelet dress, but I’ve also rounded up  hair accessories, walkable wedges, and stay tuned for another post on on the ultimate cocktail fusion to celebrate what is sure to be an epic spring day. Sun, work with us.

Derby day is all about cinched waists, oversized hats and uber femme details. I took a softer approach to my derby day look since I won’t actually be attending the race, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be partaking in Derby Day parties! This white eyelet dress and oversized straw tote provide the perfect nod to derby style. And if you don’t want to go all out with a floppy hat or fascinator a great alternative is a pretty floral hair clip or headband. Which, for me, is a more modern and wearable approach. But back to this dress… After searching high and low I think I finally found the perfect little white eyelet dress for the spring and summer. The eyelet fabric and subtle ruffle details make this feminine but keep it simple. The straps are wide enough to wear a regular bra and the length hits just slightly below the knee. Add a scarf, jacket or belt to keep this dress in constant rotation all summer long.

So love your content, but hate that every time I want details on an item, I get bounced out of the newsletter to the retail site. Just want to touch a picture of the item and see price and where to buy… like your competitor does!
