Put on your own mask before assisting others. Same mantra goes for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. First shop for yourself, then everybody else! Ok bad analogy, but long time shoppers of this sale know that the women’s selection sells out FAST. Hopefully you scored some great pieces from my first sale post here. Next to go quickly is the kids section, and the men apparently haven’t caught on so that post is coming tomorrow!
My strategy for shopping for my kids is as follows:
1) Which kid needs a new winter jacket because they either outgrew it, lost it, or were so rough on it that it can’t be morally passed down.
2) Fill in the gaps – one nice shirt per kid, maybe a pair of jeans if last year’s are looking like floods, and update the everyday essentials (which in my kids’ case is sports clothes and sneakers)
3) GIFTS! This is the time of year to stock up on all the best baby gifts. Try to look and not want to have another baby. Dare you.
But first… here is what I bought my kids from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale:
How I wish my kids would dress more often….
Shop their outfits:
What my kids actually wear….
Shop their Outfits:
Cold Weather Essentials….
(and it wasn’t easy to get the older boys to wear winter jackets in 80 degree heat, so here is just one shot of this cuteness.)
(ok and one outtake because…… #reallife #splintershappen)
Shop the winter jackets I scored below:
And now the fun part…
