Did you guys know that daylight savings time is happening this weekend?! Cue the screwed up sleep cycles for all children under the age of 9 (crap, I have 4 of them!) but cheers to longer days, more sunlight, and hopefully warmer weather. That was my round-about way of saying spring is coming so naturally it’s time to share a few things that are on my radar for the upcoming season. But first… a little Q&A!
Q: What skincare products do you use? I like to mix things up with my skin because I’m always afraid my face will get to used to something and stop working. Probably not true, but my current routine is a little (ok a lot) indulgent because I recently turned 37 and, yeah I’m not 18 anymore. In fact that was MORE than half a lifetime ago – ouch. The line I’ve been using daily is Skin Ceuticals and some other lines I love are Kiehl’s, Paula’s Choice and Sunday Riley.
Q: What did you do before starting The Motherchic? I was an elementary school teacher! I taught 4th and 5th grade and after I had my second son I decided to stay home with them. During nap time I started writing and right before my 3rd son was born, so was The Motherchic (although back then my blog was called Sisters to Sons).
Q: Do you get your clothes for free or do you buy everything? It’s a mix of both but I would say I mostly buy my own. The only exception is if I am working with a brand for a sponsored post or something like that. Sometimes brands send me things but I only share things I absolutely LOVE and would have purchased myself.
Q: Sunglasses. What do we think of the round shape for summer? LOVE THEM! Here are a few inexpensive pairs to test them out!
Q: How do you stay thin? I eat healthy-ish, but nothing is ever off limits. I am really good about portion control. I’ve written some posts on this topic here and here. Someone from Faster Way To Fatloss reached out to see if anyone on my team was interested in the program – Christine just completed 6 weeks and the results are INCREDIBLE (we will be sharing them next week)! If you are looking for a reset and are interested in the program you can check it out here.
And now… just a *few* things that are on my spring wishlist!
