Well, it’s a great day to be a woman. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this day than with the launch of a clothing line that represents a group of like-minded yet diverse women who all share the same goal – helping woman feel great about themselves. I am beyond humbled, excited, over-the-moon (and all the other happy, jittery adjectives you can think of) to be part of this collection that is now LIVE at Nordstrom. This line also supports 9 different organizations hand selected by each of bloggers involved. My donation is going to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and you can read more about why I chose this in a post that will be live later today!
The entire collection is below and styled by each of the nine bloggers involved in the collaboration (available in sizes XXS Petite – 3X). But first, I would like to send so much love to Gibson for bringing this group of women together and for having a vision that sets you apart from every other brand. Thank you for this incredible opportunity…. and now onto the fashion!
The International Women’s Day Collection:
Lindsey Crochet Babydoll Blouse:
Wearing: Lindsey Crochet Babydoll Blouse
This swingy crochet babydoll style tank is one of my pieces in the collection. I wanted something that was feminine and fun, and doesn’t need much accessorizing – because who has time for that? One of the best parts of my job is understanding what styles women like to wear, and this silhouette is a favorite because it’s flowy (and post partum-friendly). Pair it with white denim for a fresh, spring look, with distressed denim shorts for a casual barbecue (as seen on Rebecca below), or even with colored chinos and flats to wear to work. I am wearing a size XS.
The Lindsey Lace Yoke Split Neck Crepe Blouse:
File this top under: modern wardrobe staple. We all need great black and white tops. The latter lace yoke sets this top apart and again, you can dress it up or down to take it from work to weekend. I am wearing XS and would size down.
Rebecca Puff Sleeve Top
[Rebecca from Mommy in Heels]
This top is one of my favorites! It is on trend with the subtle puff sleeve and the material is super soft. It comes in a bunch of colors as well. I love the way Rebecca styled it with wide leg crops. I’m wearing it below with a fun pair of flares and heels for a classic “night out” look.
Rebecca Scalloped Wrap Top:
Gotta love a wrap top and this one comes in SO many fun colors. It’s perfect for nursing moms and has a snap closure in the front. I love how Rebecca shows the verstalitly of this top by pairing it with both slacks and denim.
Chelsea Halter Top:
[Chelsea from LoweCo Petite]
This twist front halter makes me want to go on vacation STAT! This is one one those tops that works with anything. Chelsea shares my love for great distressed denim, but I would also wear this top tucked into a pencil skirt and pumps for a chic workweek look .
Chelsea Square Neck Top:
This next piece is one of those blouses you will grab for on repeat. The square neck top makes it double-take worthy and has the perfect sized balloon sleeve – it’s just the right amount of volume that isn’t distracting.
Erin Floral Tunic:
[Erin from Living in Yellow]
Give me a tulip hem and a roll tab sleeve and I’m a happy girl. This tunic length top is so fresh for spring and pairs perfectly with blue or white skinny jeans and your go-to wedges.
Erin Ruched Sleeve Blouse:
Sometimes you need a dressy tee and here she is!! This ruched sleeve top is simple and elegant – that is all. Oh, it comes in SO many fun prints!
Hoang-Kim Eyelash Lace Top:
[Hoang-Kim from Color & Chic]
This lace trim top is just….. MWAH!!! Fun, flirty, femme and just waiting for your next date night. I love how Hoang-Kim styled it both tucked in and loose to show how the top can be worn either way. Because this top wants to be dressed up, I paired it with denim shorts to show that, yes it can.
Hoang-Kim Side Tie Top:
Wearing: Hoang-Kim Side Tie Blouse
Tie front tops are super flattering and this pop of color is just what any spring wardrobe needs. Play around with creating a bow versus a loose tie to change up the look.
Thamarr Keyhole Tie Back Ponte Top:
[Thamarr from Musings of a Curvy Lady]
This top the perfect modern basic. The elbow sleeve length makes it great for transitional weather and the tie in the back is a fun detail. The Ponte material is substantial making it more polished than your average tee.
Thamarr Pleated Skirt:
If you are in the market for something twirl-worthy – look no further! This skirt comes in a few solid colors and this fun statement print. Pair it with anything from a button down to a graphic tee or match it with the cap sleeve top shown earlier to create a “set”.
Ruthie Tie Sleeve Top:
[Ruthie from Ruthie Ridley Blog]
If the puff sleeve style isn’t for you – here is another version of that top with a longer tie sleeve. Again, this material is SO nice and goes great with any style/color of denim.
Ruthie Split Neck Tank:
Wearing: Polka Dot Top
OH my polka dots!! This top just makes me so happy and will be worn on repeat this season. Besides this “of the moment” print – there are so many great details in this top from the split neck to the mini pleats.
Mindy Wrap Top:
[Mindy from Mindy Cityy]
Make a statement with this kimono inspired wrap top. Whether you go bold with mixing prints or keep it simple with pretty florals, this top is a definitely conversation starter.
The Roselyn Top:
[Roselyn from Roselyn Weaver]
And last but not least… this gorgeous ruffle trim blouse. This top has a little romance and a lot of wow-factor. And I know I keep saying this – but depending on how you style it, this top goes Interseamlessly from work to weekend.
And there you have it! The complete International Women’s Day Collection. You can shop it all below and remember to size down as the entire line tends to run a little big. I’d love to know what you all think – leave any questions or comments below!
