Pink, pretty and pastel. These may not be the three words that typically come to mind when thinking about workwear, but be prepared to have your mind blown. It is time to re-write the rules on what to wear to work. Even if the water cooler gossip is stale, doesn’t mean your outfit has to be. Here is a monochromatic pastel look that I’ve put together from the new arrivals at Lord + Taylor!

Let’s start with pink! This springtime hue is the perfect pop for adding interest to your work wardrobe. The addition of a pink blazer or pencil skirt gives your look new life. Bonus points for testing out a monochromatic pink look.

Speaking of pretty let’s talk about work tops. A few ruffle details or a silky fabric can extend the life of your basic bottoms. If you find one that you love, buy it in a few colors. If the shoe fits,, right? Again, if sleeveless is not to code, just add a lightweight jacket or cardigan.

Lastly, pastel is always the color of spring, but probably not your “go-to” when it comes to the office. From a posy earring to a double-take worthy bag, pastel pops are a fun way to freshen up any look.

So, whether you wear the whole pink, pretty and pastel look together or break it up into separates I have a feeling that your office just got a whole lot chic-er. And when in doubt a swipe of pink lipstick does the trick.
