What I Wore on Vacation

April 19, 2019

🎶 Vacation all I ever wanted 🎶 Seriously, who DOESN’T just want vacation?! If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you’ve seen that we Spending the past week with all of my boys with some much-needed family time has been nothing short of amazing. Surf, sand, sun, sons, superb husband, super delicious libations…I just want to stay here in this moment! And on vacation.

Many of you were curious about where we were staying and I want to give a huge shoutout to WhirlAway Travel for planning this trip. I told them we wanted to go to a family friendly, all-inclusive resort within three hours of Philadelphia, and boom. The next thing we knew, we had an app with an itinerary, plane tickets, check in times and all was left to do was get our passports. We stayed at Paradisus La Esmeralda and it really was the perfect spot for our family. If you have any questions about the resort I’m happy to answer, but we would definitely go back!

The perfect thing about traveling somewhere warm for a week is that everything packs so easily and doesn’t weight a lot! A great packing tip that I learned from one of my packing fairies before I left is to roll everything instead of folding. You may need to hang things that wrinkle easily to steam while you’re in the shower to smooth out, but oh the room you’ll have in your suitcase!

I’m rounding up all of my outfits from the past week here in one place in case you missed anything or can’t find something you loved to get for your upcoming vacation. Speaking of which, who wants to take me with them?!

Cover Ups & Suits

Tropical Getaway 101: Pack a swimsuit. Or 3. Or 4. Because you never know, right?! Oh and don’t forget the cover ups, because who can be seen in the same cover up twice 😉 Most of the ones I brought with me are available on Amazon and are $20 and under. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a deal (and a cute cover up).

Dresses

Tropical Getaway 102: Find cute, easy dresses. For me, vacation dresses are the easiest thing to pack and the easiest thing to put on. Who wants to fumble around putting a whole outfit together when the purpose of vacation is to relax?! Dresses (and jumpsuits) are a one-and-done deal and that’s how I like it. I also tend to gravitate towards dresses that have prints, bright colors and an easy silhouette.
