The day is FINALLY here!! I am overwhelmed with gratitude for this opportunity to collaborate with Gibson on this exclusive spring/summer collection. Gibson X The Motherchic is a vibrant and versatile line for the modern, chic woman. These styles were designed to make getting dressed fun and effortless.

We named the collection “Live & Love” because of the bright colors, optimistic prints, quality fabrics and unexpected details that make this line come to life. The collection includes soft knits in the most flattering silhouettes balanced by polished yet feminine dresses and tops. The line was a true collaborative effort, inspired by all the joys of life and things that make us happiest. Each piece is named for something or some place that makes us smile.

Before I share the collection I want to thank the entire team at Gibson for collaborating with me and listening to our style ideas that resonate with our readers. It was such an amazing experience seeing these pieces come to life – together, people can create beautiful things. I would also like to thank Nordstrom for believing in us and for their first class customer service.

The Avalon Jersey Knit Wrap Dress is named for one of my favorite shore towns. Whether you are “down the shore” or running errands, or getting dressed for date night, the Avalon dress is your girl. This faux wrap style is bra (and nursing) friendly, has a snap closure, and tulip hem. This is one of those universally flattering styles and comes in stripes and solid gray. This runs true to size.

Al Fresco Button Down Strappy Midi Dress

The Al Fresco Button down strappy maxi celebrates all of life’s fun activities that happen outdoors. Whether it’s brunch/lunch/dinner, pool parties, barbecues or birthday parties, this dress is there for you. The button down, ankle grazing dress looks great loose or belted. These are working buttons, so nursing moms, we got you! This dress fits loose through the hips and comes in a floral print and a black and white dot. It is true to size, but if wavering size down. The Paloma wrap dress may or may not be named for my summer drink of choice?! This faux wrap style dress boasts a ruffled hem and snap closure. With versatility at the heart of this collection, this dress was designed to take you from work to weekend. Whether you are preppy in polka dots or feisty in our fiery red floral print, this super soft dress is a wardrobe staple. Runs true to size, size down if between.

Palms Smocked Waist Easy Dress

There is something about watching palm trees sway that eases the mind, and the Palms Smocked Waist Easy dress is no exception. This “throw on and go” style has a hint of the “of the moment” smocking trend to cinch the waist and add shape. The high low hem adds interests and also makes this dress perfect for chasing the kids whether you are at the park, pool or vacationing somewhere in paradise. Comes in navy and coral and we recommended sizing down due to the relaxed fit.

The Sarasota Jersey Knit Dress was named for city that was the beautiful backdrop where most of these pieces where photographed. This ultra flattering layered style will hug your curves in all the right places. This body-con style dress is bra-friendly, layerable, easily accessorized for day or night. This dress runs true to size.

Dancer Smocked Jumpsuit

The Dancer Smocked Jumpsuit is one of the most playful pieces in the collection and is named for that feeling you get anytime you hear your favorite song…. otherwise known as the urge to dance! This piece is all about the details from the ombre smocked bodice, to the pockets (!!) to the signature soft fabric. Heading to the beach this summer? So is this jumpsuit! She’s ready for ice cream runs, happy hour, fireworks, boardwalks…. and if you happen to wake up the next morning still wearing this jumpsuit, we won’t tell…. it’s THAT comfortable!

Who doesn’t love a good sunset? Who doesn’t love a dress that you can just throw on and feel like the happiest version yourself? Marigold will do that for you. And so will stripes. This tiered midi dress has an elastic waist an adjustable straps. Wear it alone or belted and try not to twirl. Dare you. This dress runs a little big so we recommend sizing down.

Buy the dress then make the plans, right? The Summer Nights Maxi is made for those unforgettable summer nights. The Sonoma Peplum top is one of those tops that you just need to try on to understand the hype. Sort of like going to Sonoma. Everyone needs to go there once in their life, right?! This v-neck peplum top is polished enough for work, but also looks great juxtaposed with distressed denim. Go vibrant in pink or classic in navy blue. This top runs true to size.

Boardwalk Sleeveless Tie Neck Tank

Flowy, flirty, fun. These are just a few words that come to mind when thinking about the Boardwalk Tank. This top has great movement thanks to its swingy silhouette. Wear it loose or front tucked for a different shape. It was designed to hit at your hips and has a slightly curved hem so it’s a touch longer in the back. You can size up for more length, but generally we think this runs true to size. It comes in not one, not two, but three color ways – polka dots, florals, and solid.

Oaks Ruffle Neck Tank

Oaks, especially old ones, will make you feel rooted, strong, and beautiful like this top. This is another top that goes from 9-5 and beyond and is styled a few ways below to show you it’s versatility. This top has a ruffle neck detail and back button closure. Harmony Woven Eyelet Tiered Top

Good tunes, good times. The Harmony top is named for a love for music -sounds that soothe the soul and create the perfect atmosphere for those “off duty” occasions with friends and family. This tiered eyelet swing top is fully lined and has a subtle high/low hem. Runs true to size and is designed to hit just below the hips.

Travelers Cardigan

This is the cardigan you won’t leave your home without. It’s the perfect lightweight, draped layer that you will gravitate towards year round. It’s called the Traveler Cardigan because it will go with you wherever you go. Airplanes, grocery stores, dinner in cold restaurants, summer nights on the deck. The faded striped pattern is available in white and black and runs true to size.
