Fall Outfit Ideas in 5 Minutes or Less

September 6, 2019

Would you rather spend 5 minutes slowly drinking hot coffee or ferociously pulling apart your closet in hopes that a miracle outfit will appear? Pretty sure 99.9% of you would choose the hot coffee. With the morning off-to-school rush there is always less than 5 minutes to get dressed and out the door. Of course you could lay your outfit out the night before, but if I am being honest, I’ve never been that organized. Everyday I count my lucky Prime stars for Amazon and their endless fashion options (and their endless Amazon-owned brands!) to throw on a cute outfit before literally running out of my house. Each of these looks below were created & inspired by my most recent Amazon finds for these crazy mornings that will have you dressed in literally minutes.

Look 1: Tunic and Leggings

The reason this combination works is because it is so comfortable. You can easily swap out the faux leather leggings for regular leggings (even workout leggings). Pop on the denim jacket for that effortless “I-woke-up-like-this” look. Comfy kicks are a must and if you want more options you gotta check out this post.

Look 2: Statement Ponchos

The easiest way to make a statement this fall is the poncho. I love adding this extra layer to almost any outfit, not just for warmth, but for that much needed oomph. I like to keep the jeans skinny and the tops slim as to not feel completely overwhelmed by the poncho. For petite ladies try adding a belt to create a fit point at your waist to help break up the print.

Look 3: Fashion Denim

I am pretty sure you could pair these jeans with anything and you’d look cool. While I love a good classic skinny jean, playing with new silhouettes, washes, and techniques is always fun. This look is an easy way to update your every “t-shirt and jeans” outfit.

Look 4: The LBD

Every season I find an excuse to find the next best LBD. There are a few things I love about this dress and will have to experiment to find more ways to wear it. The longer sleeve is perfect for layering, but also for a little bit of warmth. I am not one for a cap sleeve so this half sleeve is just perfect. The subtle flare of the skirt is super flattering and not overwhelming. Lastly, the price, well I’ll just let you check that one out.

Look 5: The New Neutrals

When in doubt, layer on the neutrals. I love mixing brown with black, navy with black and gray with black. The minimalist look always looks so effortless and really it is the easiest of the bunch. A crisp with tee with black jeans and a camel cardigan = the perfect 5 minute look.
