Boots season is upon us! Do you have wide calves? Skinny calves? Maybe petite in height? Guess what you can still wear tall boots. We rounded up our favorites for every calf sizes and height. Because the key to wearing tall boots is all about proportion. Just follow our tips and you can finally find the perfect fall boots for you.

First, it is time to get out the measuring tape. There are two key measurements to take to narrow down your boot search. The calf measurement is taken at the widest part of your calf. Anything measuring 16″ or more denotes a wider calf. Many retailers offer wide calf boots, but you can also look for functional laces or elastic stretch at the back. If your calf measures under 13 3/4″ this equates a narrow calf.

The second measurement is shaft height. This is measured from the bottom of the foot to right under the knee. If you are measuring under 15″ you are most likely petite. We rounded up some more mid calf boots that would be more proportional to a petite height. Anything over 15″ is considered tall. There is small curation of taller boots in case you are looking for a bit more height.
