You know how the song goes — there’s really no place like home for the holidays! Whether you are traveling far or still a local, it’s that time of year when you see everyone you “used” to know. Old friends from high school, people you used to work with, childhood friends from your old neighborhood. And when the texts start rolling in about making plans, your mind immediately begins to race about what to wear. Let’s be real, it has to be comfortable (especially if you booked the sitter and you’re going out for the night!) but you still want to make an impact. After all, you haven’t seen these folks in awhile!

When I saw this adorable little cami I was immediately drawn you, yup you guessed it, the little sequins popping out. It’s a fun update on the normal lace inset that so many camis have, especially for this time of the year. I opted for a pair of straight leg, more relaxed jeans over my normal skinny jeans, but think they would still look great. Maybe even try a pair of coated jeans if you’re feeling crazy?! If you tend to get chilly, even inside, throw on a super soft velvet blazer for dressed-up ease.

The next, and dare I say most important, part of the outfit: shoes. You’re most likely going to be standing for an extended period of time, but your favorite sneakers might look a little out of place. I’m so thankful that kitten heels are “in” now, and can we talk about how fun these ones are?! A little sparkle can go a long way.

Like I always say – buy the outfit, then make the plans. Not in the mood to get out of the house because of the excessive chill? Buy the outfit, then kick up your feet with your favorite glass of red and movie. Just as fun 😉
