I just started making a checklist of things I need to do: Clean the house. Prep for cooking a feast. Set the table. No, this isn’t an ordinary day – it’s Thanksgiving! And let’s talk real for a minute, whether you’re hosting or the guest it’s quite the marathon of a day. Sometimes getting dressed up seems like a daunting task even on a work day, so dressing up on a holiday is even more out of the question. That’s why we have found the perfect casual Thanksgiving outfit.
A lot of you lovely ladies have been loving our holiday outfit series so far, but are asking about what to wear if you’re cooking/running around/hosting. My friends, this is it! Comfortable, chic, and no nonsense. This is also a great outfit for the gals who just want to be cute and casual. Running around on Thanksgiving from place to place, eating turkey after turkey, chasing child after child. It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it! I chose to top it off with this fun, reversible faux fur vest to amp up my outfit. It adds a slightly dressy factor without look over-the-top.
So cheers to a fun, casual Thanksgiving. Use that canned cranberry sauce. Buy the pre-made cheese platter. You want to wear your hair up in a bun while making that boxed stuffing? Go for it girl. I won’t tell anyone.
Style Tip// If you’re going to be in the car all day but it’s still chilly, layer a thin/thinner sweater with a cozy vest. This way you won’t roast like a turkey in the car while your children ask “Are we there yet?!” for the 15th time.
