Let me tell you a little something about tablescapes and why I take them so seriously. First reason: wow factor. Second reason: wow factor can distract from sub-par cooking. Yes, a beautiful setting can distract from slightly over-done turkey and mashed potatoes that taste delish, but the texture is a bit…. tacky. We can’t win them all, my friends. Well-executed holiday tablescapes, not only makes your guests feel special (yes, you did this all for them), but sets the tone for a memorable evening fill with the people you love the most.
I put together two holiday tablescapes and everything right down to the flat wear is from…. drumroll please…. AMAZON!
Rustic Holiday Tablescape
The first “motif” I put together has rustic vibe. I mixed natural elements: wooden chargers, a woven runner, touches of greenery, tree stump cardholders, and none other than deer antlers as a centerpiece. This tablescape gives all the cozy, cabin vibes and would be perfect for Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving.

Winter Whites Holiday Tablescape
The second tablescape uses many of the same pieces, but with a few swaps, I created a luxe winter white setting. The faux fur table runner, cotton stems, and flocked tree decor create a cozy chic vibe so much so that you can almost smell the pines. Actually that’s just my candle burning, but even so…. The plaid napkins add just a hint of color (and don’t ask me how I folded them)…. We totally had to YouTube it!

Now the only problem I have besides over cooking the turkey? Should Ellen sit next to Gaga or Oprah?

A girl can dream, right?! So now I can’t NOT ask, who would you invited to your hypothetical dinner party if you could invite anyone in the world?
And ok ok ok… if you want the inside scoop to some of my not-so-secret family recipes that we make every holiday season, you can check them out here.
