Here we are during week five of going no-where. While it’s been a journey to say the least, I’ve experienced enough highs and lows to figure out the pattern. My best days are the ones where I wake up before my kids, make my bed, workout, and get dressed. Are we surprised? Lounge-y days can be great days too, but usually just not as productive. My at-home style has shifted a bit since the beginning of quarantine when I binged on sweatpants. But in the spirit of keeping things as “normal” as possible, I’ve started dressing more like my normal self (almost) every day.

If I think about my all-time favorite looks, it would probably be some combination of a white top and distressed jeans. When it saw this open-stitch dolman sleeve sweater as part of the Express sweater collection, it was true love. It’s a perfect layer to throw over a tank for chilly nights. I also love it with shorts, or heck, even with sweats! It’s meant to be sheer so a tank underneath is a must, but dare I say that makes it a little sexy?
Many of you told me I had to try Express jeans and they did not disappoint. The pair I got are a stretch denim, but they hold their shape. I am wearing my normal size (25) in short for reference. They are a bit cropped, so I would say if you are 5’4 – 5’7 you should stick with regular sizing.

If you asked me in January if what to wear for a Zoom conference was even on my radar, I would probably look at you and say, “What’s Zoom?” Wow how times have changed fast. My favorite thing to wear during any kind of video chat whether it be for work or with friends is something with a puff sleeve. It’s like you tried without trying. Staying on trend while staying comfy. This tee is a no-brainer.

If I close my eyes and imagine real hard, my backyard transforms into a tropical resort. Ok really, I just play reggae music, make a fun cocktail and wear a beachy dress. It’s equal parts comfy and chic and we all deserve to get some vitamin D in style. This might be my favorite version of self-care these days… relaxing outside!
