All dressed up and nowhere to go! Kinda sounds like the motto for the past few weeks, am I right? Now that the temps are rising here in the Philly area and the potential promise of some places opening in the near future, all I can think about is my poor, cute clothes! The cute, casual dresses just waiting to be taken out and paraded around like they deserve to be, the endless pairs of sandals that I need to rush to wear. So I’ve decided to ditch all my loungewear (okay, maybe not completely), take out my beloved dresses and take them for a spin. We may not be going anywhere at this moment, but we can at least make it fashion! And just like a good friend, I know they’ll still be here when things do finally open up and social gatherings take over social distancing. So I’m here to also show you how to dress these one-and-done wonders when you make your public appearance debut.
Though the temperatures are on the rise where I live, there can still be those random chilly days (and nights!). A light layer is your #1 accessory to accompany your casual dress, whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, a video hangout or a social distance drive-by. Also, having a child hidden under your dress is a good yet optional accessory.
Shed that jacket and let your arms and shoulders be free! Well, at least until it’s time to put said jacket back on when you’re in a cold restaurant or sitting outside. Oh, how I look forward to being cold in a restaurant again! Throw on your favorite dressy sandals and HAVE FUN! Style tip: Have someone else put away all the laundry you just folded. That is a style tip must 😉
The Slip Dress
The comfort level on this dress is 100% and even better it is wrinkle resistant! I love the midi length which is perfect for the office or bending over to pick up toys all day. Play around with accessories to add a little personality to this dress. This slip dress is the perfect mix between casual and dressy.
The Workout Dress
TBH, which I may or may not have just learned stands for “to be honest”, I got this dress back in December and it kind of got hidden in my closet. So Merry Christmas to me 😉 This dress has all the bells and whistles, including built in shorts and shelf bra. Done and done.
The Everyday Casual Dress
Yes, every girl needs a LBD. But it doesn’t have to cost a fortune. This perfect knit dress is the perfect price and with a little imagination you can wear it a million ways.
