The Motherchic Summer Reading List

June 10, 2020

Ask and you shall receive! I put a little question box on Instagram asking for some book recommendation and you all came through in a BIG way! The only problem? I can’t decide what to read first. I feel like I am finally out of that little baby phase where I can sit on the beach and read this summer, and I’m not so totally exhausted at night that I can spare twenty minutes to read in bed before going to sleep. For the past 11 years that was not the case. Reading (for me) got the shaft. But my friends, I am BACK! Below is a pretty epic summer reading list suggested by all of you. Yes, kid, someday you will LOVE your summer reading….

The Motherchic summer reading

Beach Pants (another color here and here)

Of course it would be amazing if you support your local bookstores. I linked the books below on Amazon because I have a Kindle and that’s how I prefer to read. Either way, I hope the list is a good reference!

Know my Name by Chanel Miller…the memoir of Emily Doe, the victim of sexual assault by a freshman swimmer at Stanford. She never once succumbs to self-pity. She tells it straight and speaks the truth about being a woman. She blew my mind.

Behind closed doors is by BA Paris and the Dutch House is about a brother and sister and I don’t believe it has anything to do with WWII.
