Every year my husband and I create a spreadsheet of gifts that our kids put on their lists. I thought it would be interesting to see what they asked for last year and think about what they actually used over the past 12 months. There are those gifts that have initial wow factor that never really get any love, and then there are those gifts that end up being the favorite even though at first they don’t seem that exciting. You just never really know! It was really fun to go back through their lists from last year and pick out gifts they still enjoy today. And in case you are new here, I do have 4 boys ages 11, 9, 7, and 4. We will have many more gift guides coming your way for all kids! You can check out the ones we already published here.
Baseball Game // My 7 and 9 year olds LOVE this game. No bells, no whistles, just good old fashioned fun. Roll the dice, run the bases… and yes, they have one for every team.
Boxing Gloves // Call me crazy, but these provided hours of fun! So much so that I can hardly remember the tears/injuries they also provided. Purchase at your own risk.
Crazy Ridiculous Baseball Bat // Why these are so expensive, I will never understand! They are a great splurge gift for a tween that really doesn’t ask for much.
Baseball/Pitching Net // Can’t have a bat without insuring that you won’t break the neighbors’ windows! This net gets SO much use from all of my kids…
Karaoke Microphone // If you’ve seen my littlest guy on my Instagram Stories, you know he loves to perform!
Wireless Gaming Headset // Filed under: how to stay in touch with your friends during a pandemic. I really don’t like video games, but I do like the fact they can talk to their buddies since playdates are no longer a thing.
Gaming/Media Chair // These were a “surprise” gift last year! Something they didn’t ask for, but a much used addition to our basement.
Ugg Boots // Weatherproof and warm…
Team Socks // Stocking stuffer they get super excited about. My boys love their socks 🤷🏻♀️
Scattegories // We played this on repeat during quarantine… it’s the one game that my entire family can play together even across the age span of my kids.
Architectural Legos // My 11 year old loved this… he and my husband built it together and (bonus!) it took a LONG time!
We would love to hear what gifts your kids received that they actually loved! Leave yours in the comments!
