Teachers can do virtually anything… get it?! In all seriousness though, I can’t tell you the number of times I have thought to myself this year, “Teachers are freaking amazing.” With my kids in a hybrid learning model, my wish of being a fly on the wall in their classroom is now a reality. Be careful what you wish for. Maybe I should have been more specific….I wanted to be a fly on the wall IN the classroom, not in my own kitchen. The silver lining, however, is that I do get to hear the voices of their teachers and see a small glimpse into their day.
Let me tell you, these humans deserve the world and then some. Their positivity radiates in such unusual circumstances… the fact that they can still be engaging through a screen…. the fact that my kids are LEARNING and interacting with kids despite social distancing and mask wearing… the list goes on. What I am trying to say is, I am crazy grateful for teachers always and even more so this year.
