There has been a major shift in the swimsuit department. The high rise, high leg opening – a la Baywatch – is back in style. Personally, this is a trend that I have shied away from. What can I say, I like coverage. So for this post I focused more on bikinis that hit other trends but also don’t make me feel like I am trying to fit in with the millenials. I’ve changed my jeans and my side part, but cheeky cuts is where I draw the line. There is still a great variety of bikinis in this post with over 50 styles included at great price points! All suits pictured are linked below, happy bikini shopping! As always, if bikinis are not your thing check out my favorite one piece suits in this post here.
The New Neutral Bikinis
I love a good LBS – aka little black swimsuit – but this year it’s time to step it up a notch. There are so many fun neutral patterns and textures that will really kick your bikini up a notch. Even classic stripes, polka dots and color-blocked styles seem to take on new life this year.
Take me to the Sea
Whether you are team Pool or team Beach – a blue bikini will have you feeling like summer. I love the variety of prints and silhouettes, but a blue bikini seems like a natural choice.
Pretty in Pink Bikinis
One trend that I’ve definitely noticed this year is a shift towards more feminine details – a ruffle here and a wrap there. I am also a sucker for a pretty pink bikini so it will be hard to narrow down to one!
I love a swimsuit that feels like it can do double duty. And although I am not a surfer but I have been known to do a little beach yoga. There are a lot of sporty details that make these suits really shine.
