I’ve always been sort of “no fuss” when it comes to make up. Don’t get me wrong, I rarely leave home without it, but I also don’t spend more than 5 minutes putting it on. What I love about tarte cosmetics makeup is that the products do exactly what they say they are going to do AND they last all day. I’ve tried many of their bases (foundations, tinted moisturizers, CC creams etc…) and depending on the amount of coverage I need on any given day, they really have something for everyone. While I do switch up that step of my make up regimen, I wanted to share a few tried and true tarte cosmetics products that I use daily. They are also having a buy 2 get one free sale, so now is a great time to stock up on some of these best sellers! To qualify for the promotion, three items must be added to your cart! Step 1 // No More Baggage
After moisturizing my skin, I always apply either the Shape Tape Concealer or Creaseless Concealer to my under eye area. It instantly covers dark circles and keeps the delicate under eye area hydrated. I use a sponge to blend it evenly.
Step 2 // All About that Base
To even out my skin tone, I always apply some sort of foundation. I love the Amazonian Clay 16-Hour Full Coverage Foundation (shade 35H) for a totally airbrushed look and I recently started using the Face Tape Foundation (shade 35H) because I have heard such great things. The main difference between the two products is texture. The Amazonian Clay is more of a whipped mousse and the Face Tape has the consistency of a more traditional foundation. I apply it by dabbing it over my skin in little dots, then blending it in with a brush or sponge.
Step 3 // Bronze and Blush
The next step is all about bringing my skin to life with a little color. I never go a day without bronzer and love the Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer in the shade “Hotel Heiress” in the summer months when I already have a bit of a tan. For blush, I use the Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in the shade “peaceful“). Both products are formulated for long wear and are buildable so you can intensify the color with another application.
Step 4 // Eye Like it
For the daytime, I just like to amplify my eye situation and love the tartelette Toasted Eye Shadown Palette which is full of gorgeous fall hues. I use the shade “candle” all over my lid, then put the color “cozy” in the crease, and highlight the brow bone with shade “smore”. For a nighttime look I would use some of the darker shade for a little more drama!
Step 5 // Lash Out
If you are looking for long, full lashes, you need Maneater Mascara in your life. That is all.
Step 6 // Lip Sync
To finish my routine, I give myself a swipe of Maracuja Juicy Lip. It goes on like a lipstick but feels like a gloss. It’s super hydrating and leaves a subtle trace of color to enhance your natural lip color.
