Hi, my name is Lindsey and my social life is VERY busy. I hang out with other moms on Friday nights, all day Saturday, and you betcha on Sunday too. We sit on on chic, metal benches, we chat it up, sometimes we get rowdy and start cheering. Sometimes we sip hot chocolate from this cute little shed run by our town’s finest middle school volunteers. Sometimes what’s in our mug is a beverage we wish we were drinking at a fine dining establishment instead of on a cold bleacher. But you know what, we aren’t. And we aren’t mad about it either. Sideline life is the best life and you can bet we are making the most of it. Oh, and since I have *lots* of sideline experience, I know a thing or two about what to wear and what to bring.
Tip 1: Always keep one of these in your trunk. It is, without fail, always colder than you think.
Tip 2: Always keep lots of snacks in your bag. If you have social life crashers (a.k.a. younger siblings) watching the game with you, they will always be hungry. And thirsty. Fill this up and you should be good.
Tip 3: Just because it’s not fine dining, doesn’t mean can’t wear something cute. Look good, feel good, cheer louder, better chance of your kid having a good game. Or something like that.
Look 1 // Definitely Going Out for Nachos after the Game
Aprés game dining. It’s a thing. If I think we might be going out after the game, I will typically wear a pair cool of jeans, fashion sneakers, a warm, but cute top, and an extra layer (refer to tip 1).
Look 2 // In it for the Long Haul
Some days I attend numerous games so I just need to be comfortable. This is where I try to blend sports and fashion as best I can. The result? Leggings + awesome sneakers + graphic tee + statement fleece.
