It’s a good question: To go out or to stay in? If I’m being honest with my almost 41 year old self, I think a combination of the two is my preference for ringing in the new year. An early cocktail with friends, then home in something cozy with my boys, playing games and watching Ryan Seacrest freeze his buns off in NYC…. all the while wondering how it’s possible that I’ve never even heard of any of the performers on the stage. Was I living under a rock this year? New Year’s Resolution numero uno: Be more current, Lindsey! Whether you make it to midnight, or not, here are some New Year’s Eve outfits to wear to celebrate all that 2022 brought into your life. Sequins, obviously.
….and also, leather and fur. Dressing this time of year is clearly a “more the merrier” situation. Mixing fabrics gives texture and interest to your look. The trick to making it work is sticking to a monochromatic color palette (i.e. all black) or in this case, all neutrals. I did add in a little color with the faux fur coat to add a little depth.
