Summer of Love with Gap

June 2, 2023

Thank you to Gap + Collective Voice for sponsoring this post.

What do I love about summer, you ask? Waking up to birds chirping, sleeping past 6:42am, NOT packing lunches (jk my kids pretty much buy 100% of the time), sun, swimming, the smell of sunscreen, eating outside, flowers, ice pops, fresh cut grass, longer days, well behaved children who play nicely together all day and don’t trash the house while I’m at work and I can come home and enjoy a lovely evening outside with them chasing fireflies….or something like that. Summer. It’s a vibe. And the best way I can fully embody this special time of year where everyone is a little happier and a little less stressed is by wearing an explosion of colors – colors that truly celebrate the season. Saturated and bold hues are overtaking my wardrobe (and my kids’ wardrobes too)…. because summer is truly the time to go all out.

Here is a little peek a into some new threads we added to our closet from Gap for the summer season….

My Outfit: Crochet Tank | Denim Shorts ($29 today!!)

I love dressing my boys in bold colors that showcase their personalities. While my youngest likes to have a little more fun with his clothes, hello seersucker floral shirt, my older boys prefer classic polos. The cargo shorts are a great compromise when I need them to wear something other than sports clothes. They think they are cool and they are polished enough for me.

Color me happy this crochet tank (also comes in a dress!) is just the end. It’s an instant mood booster and truly personifies summer. Because I know someone will ask, yes it is an open knit, but I just wore nude bralette underneath. You can definitely see peeks of skin through the weaves which I love, BUT if you want more coverage you could layer a tank underneath. I paired it with white denim shorts for a fresh, clean look. The shorts have a 4 inch inseam and preppy front pockets. These shorts have no stretch, but are designed to get better with time – in other words, they will break in and mold to your body.

More summer brights we love….
